Monday

In the morning, we were supposed to have language school from 9:00 to 12:15, but there were too many students in the school, so the teachers decided to organize a scavenger hunt instead. This turned out to be much more fun than school!
We had to complete different tasks. For example, we had to find statues, churches, and other interesting places, take photos, and even interview local people by asking them questions.
During the scavenger hunt we walked along the main street, passing many shops, restaurants, and hotels. At the end we reached the beach, which was definitely one of the highlights of the morning. Luckily, it didn't rain today, instead, we had beautiful sunshine, which made everything even better.

After a short break, we took the train to Dublin. There, we visited the EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, where we had one hour to explore the exhibitions. It was really interesting to learn more about Irish history and the stories of emigrants and After that we had freetime in Dublin until 5 p.m. During this time we were able to go shopping, eat someting or explore Dublin.

In the evening, when we got back to Bray, we still had a very fun program planned. First, we went bowling together. It was really funny and after that, we played laser tag. This was definitely one of the highlights of the day. We split into two teams and ran through the area, trying to tag each other with laser guns. It was exciting, a bit competitive, and a perfect way to end the day. It was a really beautiful in Ireland!

(sorry I have no idea why the picure is upside town.)

The first full day in bray

As one may notice, this blog post does come in a little bit late, as our first real day in bray was on the 16th of April. That aside, that thursday was quite uneventful. At first we met up at nine in the morning for our first day of language school, which turned out to be a bit chaotic. There weren’t really any groups and seeing as we were the new arrivals, they just split us up into different rooms with groups from vienna and stuttgart.  about 12:15 our school day ended and we had some time to get lunch and take a break. We then met up with our guide, an elderly gentleman from bray, who would show us around the city. He showed us a good amount of places, but my favourite would have to be the little walk to and along the beach, coming down from the hills. We took some nice pictures and had quite some fun overall as well. (well, apart from the language school)

Hiking day

Our day in Ireland started with a trip to the famous Guinness Lake, which looked absolutely stunning and breathtaking. After that, we went hiking in Glendalough, where we enjoyed the beautiful nature and saw a waterfall and a lake. In the afternoon, we visited a castle in Dalkey and took part in an interactive tour that was really fun and entertaining. Later, at the beach in Dalkey, Valerie, Emily, and I (Livia) saw a seal swimming in the water, that was definitely my personal highlight of the day :)

Blog: Second Day

In the morning we went to the language school which took longer for some than others. There we learned something about the history of ireland and played some games. After a lunch Break we took a beautiful walk along the coast of bray. In the evening we returned to our guest homes and went to sleep.

Blog: Arrival

This Blog aims to describe the first day of our language stay in Ireland or more specifically in the tenth biggest City of the latter which is called Bray.

Our jorney started at Salzburg‘s central Train Station where we took a train to Vienna. During the train ride we entertained ourselves and eachother with group- as well as videogames. After arriving at the airport the boys exchanged slightly emberassing shirts which they had to wear for the flight and the four hours we spent at the airport. Prior to meeting the guest families we drove to the Language school in a Bus while singing along to „white girl“ music. At the language school we waited excitedly for our hosts and speculated which of the people bypassing people they may be. Finally we met our respective guest families and dined with them before going to sleep.

To conclude it Must be Said that the First day, albeit exausting, was very enjoyable and filled with amusing moments and a lot of fun.

Trip to Belfast & Titanic

Saturday

At first, I didn’t really think about the fact that the Titanic story actually happened. I only thought about the movie.
And that’s what my blog is about: our trip to Belfast and the Titanic Museum.

We started off at 8:30 in front of our language school and drove to Belfast by bus. Our mood on the way there was really good, and we all sang songs together.
We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and went straight to the Titanic souvenir shop.

At 12:00, our tour started. At first, I thought there was only one floor, but when I saw the lift, I realized that there was much more to see.
In general, the experience was amazing and really interesting. Especially the part with the names of the survivors and the victims, which nearly brought me to tears.

Afterwards, we went to Belfast city by bus. There, all of us wrote our names on the graffiti wall. It was such an exciting experience.
In the evening, we decided to go for a walk on the beach, and we also took some beautiful photos.

In conclusion, I would say that this was the best day so far. We all had a lot of fun and gained a lot of new information.

Dublin tour on friday

Have you ever wondered where the Dark pool city is? Probably not, but I am very lucky to say that I had a beautiful day in the birthplace of Guinness or in the city where the weather changes every five minutes from a lovely sunny day to a what feels like a thunderstorm. If you haven't already guessed it, I am talking about Dublin.

My classmates my teachers and I, had a very nice day on Friday, the 17th of April, in the capitol of Ireland.

We started our day as usual in the language school in Bray, and after a quick stop at the local Spar, we headed towards the train station. We took the 45 minutes train to Dublin and started our city tour with a teacher from the language school. We visited so many beautiful and typical places in Dublin. From the portal to the statue of Molly Malone, the beautiful churches in the heart of the city, and of course I can't forget the Grafton street or the Temple bar market. And those weren’t even all the places we visited.

Our guide always told us fitting stories. One of them was that Dublin is called in Irisch after the black water from the river Liffey, which flows through the city and has very muddy water.

My highlight was next to the Dublin castle and the area around Temple bar, definitely the funny afternoon with my friends and the matcha stop at a very nice Cafe.

So if somebody in the future asks you if you know where the Dark pool city is, you know that this city is definitely worth a visit. But that you have to bring a raincoat. Just to be sure. 😊

1.Day !!

As we all know our class trip to Ireland started on the 15th of April 2026. Our journey began at the train station in Salzburg. After a train ride to Vienna we took a flight directly to Dublin. When we finally arrived in Bray all of us met their host families for the next week ! It was so exiting, but of course also a very long and exhausting day 😁
